Red Lipstick

Red Lipstick

The colour of Valentine’s Day is red, and one of the most ideal symbols for us @artistgenerations is the red lip. Throughout history red lipstick has signaled and personified many ideals ranging from impolite, degenerate, defiant, glamorous, to female strength and empowerment.

Perhaps one of the strongest links came in 1912, when thousands of supporters from the suffrage movement donned the bold colour en masse, adopting it as a sign of rebellion and liberation.

Tapping into this history, and keeping it on the lighter side, we say to you this Valentine’s Day, glide on your Ruby Woo and treat yourself to a piece of art, you deserve it!
